  • Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biomechanics at Drake Universtiy (Des Moines, IA)

    Drake University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning August 2018. The department seeks an outstanding teacher-scholar with expertise in biomechanics and motor control/learning. A Ph.D. in kinesiology or biomechanics-related field or ABD is required. Teaching assignments include a biomechanics course with laboratory, a motor control/learning course with laboratory, a first-year seminar course, and an upper-level course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Applicants must have a strong commitment to active learning pedagogies and teaching excellence, and demonstrate ability to establish an independent and productive research program integrating undergraduate students throughout the scientific process. Salary is competitive with peer schools and dependent on qualifications and experience.
