The Biomechatronics Laboratory, in association with the Center for Bioengineering Innovation at Northern Arizona University has an opening for a Post-Doctoral Scholar to help lead projects related to our research on wearable robotics for gait rehabilitation and mobility assistance in individuals with disabilities. In particular, the successful Scholar will help design and evaluate novel assistive devices and intelligent control algorithms for powered prostheses and exoskeletons.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed their Ph.D. in an area related to wearable robotics, musculoskeletal modeling, and/or gait biomechanics with a strong record of publication. Research experience or technical skills in gait/motion analysis, robotics, computer programming (Matlab, c++, etc.) and musculoskeletal modeling (using OpenSim) are highly desired. Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills are required.
