The Motor Control Research Lab (www.fallsresearch.com) in the department of Kinesiology and Community Health at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is seeking applicants for the MS/PhD program for Fall 2018. The Motor Control and Research Laboratory conducts innovative research on human movement as a function of aging, health and disease. Utilizing state of the art technology we monitor movement in laboratory, clinical and real life settings to further our understanding of its control. Current areas of research include fall risk assessment and prevention, mobility enhancement, and the use of technology to monitor movement. In addition to our research focus we are proud to spearhead outreach efforts focusing on fall prevention. Specifically, through the Illini Fall Prevention Clinic (www.illinifallclinic.com) we offer seniors in the local community life saving fall risk assessment and prevention consultations.
