    Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRH) is seeking applicants for an exciting biomechanics Research Lab Manager opportunity. TSRH is a world-renowned leader in the treatment of orthopedic conditions such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand differences, hip disorders, sports injuries and fractures, as well as certain related arthritic and neurological disorders. In 2018, TSRH will be opening a new North Campus in Frisco TX, including a clinical and research-based Movement Science Laboratory (MSL) which will have a strong focus in sports medicine. Qualified applicants for the North Campus Research Lab Manager will oversee day to day operations of the North Campus MSL, as well as, provide support for anatomical based research projects. Candidates must have published, independent, research experience in motion capture and biomechanics, with successful grant experience preferred.

    Responsibilities:
    - Oversee day-to-day operations of the North Campus Movement Science Lab (MSL), including managing patient testing workload, supervising support personnel, and maintaining operations budget.
    - Initiate and perform independent research of a significant nature in movement science and biomechanics in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine.
    - Collaborate with all internal collaborators, including sports medicine providers (physicians, surgeons and mid-level), orthopedic providers, research staff, and allied health professionals (ATC, PT, Orthotics, Psychology, etc.) to complete high-quality and clinically impactful research, from project development to execution to manuscript preparation and dissemination.
    - Serve as an active participant in external research study groups and research societies focused in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine.
    - Identify and apply for funding opportunities such as grants or private funding on an annual basis. Establish and explore community partners and opportunities to utilize resources within the North Campus Movement Science Lab.
    - Cross-trained to perform examinations, instrument patients for evaluations and run data collection using motion analysis equipment and software.
    - Design and coordinate biomechanical/biomaterial/anatomical studies.
    - Provide 60-70% effort in MSL and 30-40% in anatomical research, community partnerships, grantsmanship and general administrative requirements.

    Requirements:
    - Master’s degree required. PhD preferred. Advanced degree in Engineering, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, PT, ATC or related field.
    - Experience with motion analysis required, with an emphasis in sports medicine preferred.
    - Experience with biomechanical evaluation of pediatric and adolescent clinical patients preferred.
