POSITION: Full-Time Biomechanist for Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is looking to immediately fill a research/applied biomechanist position to be present onsite at our Minor League Spring Training Complex in Tempe, AZ and will involve travel for specialized assignments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting the Player Performance Coordinator and Director of Sport Science and Performance in research efforts to improve on-field performance. Evidence of previous research concerning baseball health and performance is preferred, but not essential to the position. Ability to speak Spanish is not essential but highly desired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters or Doctorate Degree in Biomechanics or related field
Experience with optical motion capture systems, biomechanics
analysis software, accelerometers, EMG and dynamometry
Comprehension of Microsoft Office applications, MATLAB, SPSS or
other related statistical software, as well as motion capture analysis
software (ie. Visual 3D)
Proficient use of Google Drive and other shared document platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to Minimum Requirements):
Machine Learning Experience
SQL, C/C++, Java, Python
Experience with physiologic testing
Baseball Experience
LOCATION: Tempe, AZ (Spring Training) and designated roving assignments
START DATE: Effective Immediately
COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with post-doctoral fellowships
