The Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab in the Faculty of Engineering at Western University (London, Ontario, Canada) is seeking exceptional applicants for Masters or PhD studies in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Research opportunities relate to human joint biomechanical analysis and design using experimental and computational techniques. Successful applicants will have access to research infrastructure and training opportunities available through the Bone and Joint Institute (http://boneandjoint.uwo.ca), that emphasizes transdisciplinary, collaborative, and clinically applied research. They will join an established team of researchers with complementary expertise, and have the opportunity to conduct research in musculoskeletal biomechanics within internationally renowned centres and facilities at Western University, the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care. These include: the Dr. Sandy Kirkley Centre for Musculoskeletal Research; Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratories; Biomedical Imaging Research Centre; Skeletal Biology Laboratories; Rorabeck Bourne Joint Replacement Clinic; Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre; Orthopaedic Spine Centre; and Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic.
