TheDepartment of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) in the Herbert WertheimCollege of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida (UF) invitesapplications for multiple full-time, open-rank, tenure-track faculty positionsin Human Systems Engineering beginning August 2018. Candidates who align withhealthcare or transportation are particularly appealing. We are specificallyinterested in candidates with research that has broad societal implications(e.g., improving healthcare delivery and improving transportation networkdesign and operation). Collaborative and interdisciplinary opportunities existboth within ISE and HWCOE and across UF, including University of Florida TransportationInstitute, Human-Centered Computing @ UF, Universityof Florida Informatics Institute,Clinicaland Translational Science Institute,and UF Health.The Department of ISE welcomesapplications from individuals with strong backgrounds who hold a doctorate inISE or in any related discipline. It is desirable that the applicant has onedegree in engineering. Successful candidates are expected to contribute toresearch and educational programs, including developing and sustainingexternally-funded, interdisciplinary research programs, maintaining a strongpublication record, supervising graduate students, and teaching undergraduateand graduate courses in industrial and systems engineering.Applicationpackets consisting of a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, a statement ofresearch interests, a statement of teaching philosophy and teaching interestsfor existing and new courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, abrief statement describing the applicant’s interest in and experience workingwith diverse groups and underrepresented populations,copiesof two or three significant publications, and contact information for three ormore references may be submitted at https://jobs.ufl.edu/.
