  • PhD Scholarship in Skill Acquisition/Motor Learning on Expert Decision-Making

In conjunction with the Queensland Academy of Sport, the University of the Sunshine Coast is offering a PhD scholarship for a suitable candidate to conduct research into the transfer of decision-making skills in elite level team-sport performers. Utilising a variety of measurement techniques from the domain of skill acquisition/motor learning, this project will investigate the extent to which decision-making skills are transferrable between different team sports, and identify the underpinning features that enable transfer to occur. The project is therefore aligned to several areas of interest in the sporting domain including talent transfer, perceptual-cognitive skill, and expertise. This is a unique opportunity in a highly sought-after domain and so any interested candidates are encouraged to submit their application before the nominated closing date of 31st January, 2018. Please ensure that the selection criteria are addressed, and include a cover letter and curriculum vitae as part of your application. For more information, please contact Dr Adam Gorman (agorman@usc.edu.au) and/or click on the following link to the advertisement https://www.usc.edu.au/learn/what-wi...motor-learning
