Position Overview
The Department of Physical Therapy at Marquette University is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and visionary Chairperson to continue to advance our highly ranked Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program starting in July of 2018. We are seeking an applicant who has demonstrated a strong commitment towards the importance of the three tenets of undergraduate, graduate, and professional education at MU: teaching, research, and service. Our highly successful DPT Program, housed within the College of Health Sciences, is currently ranked in the top 10% of all PT programs and is accredited by CAPTE through 2026. The position is a permanent, full-time tenure track line at the associate professor or full professor level. This position requires direct or indirect supervision of twenty-two faculty, and six staff members across multiple programmatic and degree offerings (listed below). The Chair reports to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences.
The Chair must also meet all requirements dictated by CAPTE, including but not limited to having a PT degree with Wisconsin licensure or eligibility for such licensure, APTA membership, and a minimum of 6 years of relevant and high-quality higher education experience, with a minimum of three years of full-time college teaching experience.
