    Research Engineer Position at Stanford

Project: “Precision Measurement of Concussion in Sports”
Our goal is to measure, predict, and prevent concussion in sports. This project is a unique collaboration among Bioengineering, Neurosurgery, and Neuroradiology at Stanford that involves an instrumented mouthguard we have designed, in collaboration with Intel Sports Group. The mouthguard records the forces/accelerations and number of head impact exposures. We are funded by the NIH, PAC-12, and private philanthropy for a four-year study to instrument thousands of people from local children to international elite athletes to study the biomechanical causes of concussion. Our research has been covered by the NY Times, Washington Post, TED.com, NPR, and other major media outlets. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team and help lead this exciting project.
