    Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA

    A full-time, tenure track faculty position is available for a physical therapist with expertise in musculoskeletal physical therapy.

    Responsibilities: Develop a scholarly research program, mentor professional and post-professional graduate students and teach musculoskeletal physical therapy content in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Additional responsibilities include teaching in post-professional graduate programs in areas of expertise and involvement in professional and university service.

    Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program. Eligible for licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia. Earned PhD or equivalent research doctoral degree. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. For positions at the Assistant Professor level candidates will be required to have an established research agenda and a clear potential for external funding, and potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the department. For positions at the Associate/Professor level, the candidate will be required to have a well-developed scholarly/research portfolio with evidence of multi-disciplinary applications and external funding appropriate to complement and expand existing expertise in the department.

    Preferred Qualifications: An established research agenda with a programmatic publication record and NIH or equivalent external funding. Three or more years of teaching experience in a physical therapy program. Clinical expertise in Musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
