Qualifications and Responsibilities: To be considered for this tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, applicants must have training in physical therapy and be eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland, and hold a PhD degree preferably with postdoctoral research training. Successful candidates will have a strong scholarly research record of publications in an area that complements existing expertise in neuromotor control, biomechanics, bioengineering, brain mechanisms, muscle physiology/performance, or exercise science. The preferred candidate will have a strong federal grant funding history. In addition, the candidate will have demonstrated past experience in mentoring, teaching, supervising doctoral students, collaborative inter-disciplinary research endeavors, and participating in extensive institutional, local, and national service. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and others with diverse backgrounds within multiethnic and multicultural campus and community settings.
Rank and Salary: Full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. Salary and start-up funds commensurate with experience and qualifications.

About PTRS:PTRS is located on the professional campus of the University of Maryland in Baltimore within the research-intensive University of Maryland School of Medicine. The Department offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy program and a PhD in Physical Rehabilitation Science (http://pt.umaryland.edu/).
