    Job Title:
    Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bone Biomechanics

    Description:
    A position has become available for a highly motivated postdoctoral research scientist to be involved in a large project for the development and validation of multi-scale models for the musculoskeletal system (MULTISIM, http://multisim-insigneo.org/).
    You will use in vivo X-ray microCT, in vivo tibia loading model and image processing for an in depth analysis of structural, morphometric and densitometric bone properties and how they are affected by external loading.
    The post is funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and will be based at the Insigneo Institute for In silico Medicine in Sheffield.
    You should hold a PhD in Engineering, Physics or related disciplines, be familiar with in vivo experiments on mice, microCT imaging and image processing. A willingness to perform in vivo experiments with mice is also essential.

    The post is full time until 31st May 2019, reporting to Dr Enrico Dall’Ara.

    Salary: Grade 7; £30,688 to £38,833 per annum (according to experience)
