Come work for an organization where everything matters.
Summary:
Seeking a Biomedical or Mechanical Engineer to support Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory. This person will contribute to the success of all projects through multi-disciplinary responsibilities, but will have a primary focus on collecting/analyzing gait biomechanics and functional outcomes. Additionally, the Lab Engineer will be involved with several other ongoing and planned projects, involvement in spine analysis, computational modeling and participation with upper/lower limb prosthetics-based research conducted in the lab.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducts analysis under the direction of the Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory and Director of the Spine Lab
2. Manage all aspects of projects from inception through manuscript preparation.
3. Perform data collection using multidisciplinary instrumentation for motor performance, including motion
capture, force plates and electromyography (EMG).
4. Process and analyze experimental data through motion capture software, Visual 3D and Matlab
5. Maintain all laboratory equipment (motion capture cameras, force plates, EMG, etc.) set up and troubleshoot
all equipment.
6. Coordinate laboratory calendar
7. Train new lab members on equipment use and lab procedures.
8. Project management and timing of several concurrent assignments/studies.
