Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a C2 CAREN Programmer to join the team at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Stanford Hall.
The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC), which forms a key element of the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) Project, is made up of multi-disciplinary teams encompassing both Civilian and Military staff who deliver concentrated residential rehabilitation for the more complex musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, including complex trauma, rehabilitation following neurological injury or illness and in-patient care for joint and soft tissue disease.
Stanford Hall sits within a 360 acre estate, providing a purpose built facility which has been specifically designed to combine the clinical and accommodation facilities within one complex. The facility will provide state of the art diagnostics such as Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment (CAREN) and MRI on site and will have close links with University of Birmingham Hospital Trust, the main receiving hospital for UK military casualties, facilitating easier joint care provision throughout the complex rehabilitation pathway.
The CAREN Programmer will be responsible for maintaining all existing and developing bespoke software packages. This will be used to further the already exemplary array of programmes available with the CAREN system, with the aim of improving rehabilitation of military personnel with relevant and challenging applications.
This position will be in tandem with a CAREN Operator, with whom the programmer will work closely with to enhance and refine all software packages.
