Applications are being accepted for the Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA for fall 2018. A graduate research assistantship with full tuition for US citizens is available. The deadline for applications is Jun. 8th.
The PhD (https://www.odu.edu/ptat/phd-kinesiology-rehabilitation) combines students with backgrounds in kinesiology/exercise science along with clinical professionals (e.g., athletic trainers, occupational therapists, physical therapists or speech/language pathologists). The curriculum's core has a focus on motor control and learning, and biomechanics as applied to the performance of daily functional activities (e.g., balance, gait, reaching and grasping, speech) and sporting activities (e.g., running, tackling), as well as the rehabilitation of individuals with physical or neurological impairments. 1. Transcranial magnetic stimulation
2. Virtual reality and gait
