    School of Health Studies
    Instructor of Exercise, Sport and Movement Sciences (ESMS) within the School of Health Studies (SHS). A teaching load of 5 course sections (15 credit hours) per semester is expected. Courses may include Exercise Physiology I and II, Exercise Testing and Interpretation Lab, Advanced Methods of Strength and Conditioning, Exercise and Special Populations, and Introduction to ESMS. Supervision of student interns is expected. Although primarily a teaching position, service to the school, university, and profession is expected.
    A minimum of an earned Master’s degree is required (doctoral degree preferred) in Exercise Science or a related area of study. The ability to teach lower and upper division ESMS undergraduate courses (e.g., Introduction to ESMS, Exercise Physiology, Advanced Strength Training and Conditioning, Exercise and Special Populations) is required. Current certifications in any or all of the following are desired: NSCA® Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, ACSM® Certified Exercise Physiologist, ASEP® Exercise Physiology Certified. Effective oral and written communication skills are strongly desired. Candidate must meet eligibility requirements to begin and continue working in the United States at the time of appointment.
