  • Graduate Level Specialization in Wearable Technology: University of Calgary

With the support of national funding (NSERC – CREATE), our Wearable Technology Research and Collaboration (We-TRAC) program is the first of its kind to provide expert level training to the next generation of wearable technology researchers, innovators, and industry leaders. As part of a thesis-based program, students will receive training across multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, biomechanics, data science/analytics, data visualization, and entrepreneurship. Students will gain invaluable hands-on experience with internship opportunities working alongside industry and academic partners.

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the We-TRAC specialization, we encourage applications from various academic backgrounds, however only the highest caliber applicants will be selected for participation in this program. For more information regarding the multiple departments and faculties involved in this specialization, along with a list of faculty members that have acknowledged interest in supervising graduate work, please visit the We-TRAC information page http://bit.ly/We-TRAC

Further insight into the program can be found via the media link below:
The University of Calgary is about to become a leader in training experts in wearable technology — a fast-growing industry.
