    The College of Engineering of Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Colorado, Boulder is seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the interdisciplinary area of Biomedical Engineering (BME). These faculty positions are part of the long-term growth plans for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials will be considered for Associate or Full Professor appointments. While applications from outstanding candidates with broad research interests in BME will be accepted, exceptional candidates will focus on the following specialty areas: imaging, devices, biomechanics.

    New faculty will be rostered in one of the Departments participating in the College-wide BME initiative: Mechanical, Chemical and Biological, Electrical and Computer, Aerospace, Computer Science or Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, depending on the focus of their research and teaching. New positions may also align with one or more Interdisciplinary Research Themes (IRTs) in the College (https://www.colorado.edu/engineering...esearch-themes), with the goal to provide advanced technologies and therapies for diseases with unmet medical needs and develop new approaches for personalized medicine.

    Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree in engineering, biology, physics, or a related field, where qualified candidates will contribute through their interdisciplinary research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.Each new faculty member will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program that synergizes with others in the University of Colorado system. Candidates whose expertise cuts across engineering and related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
