The School of Health Sciences at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan invites qualified persons with a passion for Exercise Science and expertise in Biomechanics to apply for a full-time, tenure track appointment with rank and salary commensurate with experience. A doctoral degree relevant to the field of Biomechanics, such as Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering or Exercise Science is required. The successful candidate will be part of a growing Human Movement Science Department at Oakland University. This department houses teaching and research laboratories that include 3D motion capture technology, in-ground (and mobile) force plates, electromyography, as well as capabilities for metabolic, pulmonary, cardiac and body composition assessment. The department offers graduate degrees (Master of Science, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Science), and undergraduate programs. The selected faculty member will develop/deliver coursework in an area of expertise, initiate/maintain a program of scholarly research, and collaborate in the implementation of a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree.
