  • Postdoc position in human movement simulation at LBMC (Lyon, France)

The biomechanics and impact mechanics laboratory (http://www.lbmc.ifsttar.fr/) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on simulation of human recovery from balance perturbations. This person will join the EquiSim project’s team whose goal is to model the human balance recovery processes (biomechanics, sensory, psychological, etc.). The successful candidate will be in charge of: 1) implementing robust solutions for body state estimation from pseudo-proprioceptive sensors; 2) participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Model Predictive Controllers used to represent human like recovery behaviors.

    Required qualifications:
    • Ph.D. degree in Biomechanics, humanoid robotics, computational neurosciences or related fields.
    • Research experience in human (humanoid) movement.
    • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications: programming skills (Matlab, C++), applied mathematics, publication record.

Applicants are encouraged to send a cover letter, CV and contact information for references. Applications or questions related to the project should be send by email to thomas.robert@ifsttar.fr.
