Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, is now accepting applications for a full-time (12 month) faculty member to join our team at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, on either a tenure or non-tenure track appointment in the Department of Physical Therapy. We seek a quality educator who is passionate about advancing the profession of physical therapy through innovation, creativity, and a desire to contribute to the discovery, dissemination, and implementation of scientific evidence in rehabilitation science.
The ideal candidate will possess an academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent), or be actively enrolled in a doctoral program of study. A record of (or emerging potential for) generating grants and peer-reviewed publications is recommended. Evidence of teaching expertise in the area of orthopaedics with a strong emphasis in advanced manual therapy is preferred, although other areas of clinical practice will be considered. Department and university service expectations are dependent upon applicant experience and background. Eligibility for a Nebraska Physical Therapy license is required. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive start-up package is negotiable for qualified candidates seeking a tenure-track position.
