The Musculoskeletal Analysis Laboratory within the School of Health Studies at the University of Memphis is offering a master's-level graduate assistantship to start in Fall 2019. The research assistantship is available to work with Dr. Douglas Powell in the areas of biomechanics and neuroscience. Current areas of research pertain to: (1) biomechanical and neurophysiological mechanisms underlying impaired movement in Parkinson's disease and (2) the biomechanics of sport performance, training methods and sport-related injury.
The assistantship is typically nine months (with some limited options for summer funding) and includes a full tuition waiver (9 credits per semester) and a monthly stipend.
