The Position
Lewis University invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor level position in the Department of Health and Human Performance in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The Assistant Professor will teach clinical and/or academic courses in Department curriculum, as determined by area of expertise; advise students; assist Department and Program leadership with curriculum development, student learning assessment, and evolution of the Exercise Science and Movement Science Program; and engage in scholarly research and service.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Exercise Physiology. ABD or candidates with master’s degrees may be considered with appropriate experience. Demonstrated success of undergraduate teaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to advising and mentoring students. Evidence of ability to produce scholarly/research accomplishments in the areas of human performance. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Current certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM), Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR) and/or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Clear and documented evidence of experience working in a clinical exercise setting.
