Post-doctoral Position in Musculoskeletal Modeling and Simulation
Department of Sport Science at the University of Innsbruck
The Department of Sport Science at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, is looking for a qualified Post-doc with a sound knowledge in modeling, simulation, and optimization of sport movements. The successful candidate will work in the biomechanics group of Prof. Nachbauer with a focus on alpine sports and in particular alpine skiing.

Extent of employment:

Responsibilities:
- Biomechanical modeling and simulation in musculoskeletal simulation of skiing and/or of friction between skis and snow
- Independent research and teaching, collaboration in writing of research applications, publications, participation in conferences
- Supervision of students
- Assistance in organization and administration
Required qualifications:
- Doctor´s degree
- Sound knowledge in modeling, simulation, and optimization of sport movements
- High skills in programming (e.g. C++, Matlab, Python) and practical experience with modeling and simulation software (e.g. OpenSim, Comsol Multiphysics, Abaqus)
- Proof of scientific publications in international peer reviewed journals
- Very good English skills
- Collaborative skills, independent word, communications skills, resilience in stressful situations
