a position for a First Level Doctorate for the exercise of activities of scientific research in the
scientific areas of Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering, to i)
develop a concept of bio-inspired intramedullary implant, ii) study of the behaviour of new bio-active layers
and their integration, iii) experimental and numeric studies, within project MULBIOIMPLANT – “Implante
multifuncional e bio-inspirado para melhorar a integração óssea”, reference POCI-01-0145-FEDER-032486,
supported by the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalisation, in its FEDER/FNR
component, and the Foundation for Science and Technology, in its State Budget component (OE).
