Position description:
Dr. Dan Ribeiro is seeking a highly motivated student to undertake a PhD to explore how manual therapy techniques impact on neuromuscular control in individuals with and without musculoskeletal disorders. Dan’s research programme focuses on better understanding the role of movement control and musculoskeletal disorders. Scholarship:
A competitive PhD Scholarship is offered by the University of Otago (for details please refer to: https://www.otago.ac.nz/graduate-res...phd/index.html).
Position requirements:
Awarded Honour’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, or kinesiology- and biomechanics-related discipline. Research interest in musculoskeletal disorders and clinical biomechanics.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred research skills:
Programming experience (i.e. Matlab, Python or similar software) is highly desirable but not necessary.
The potential candidate need to show evidence of research scholarship (e.g. conference presentations, and publications).
PhD Programme:
