  • Research Assistant 1, OHSU, Portland, Oregon

    The Oregon Health & Science University Balance Disorders Laboratory are seeking a Research Assistant 1 to work on projects relating to balance and gait assessment in patients with mild traumatic brain injury. The research assistant will be responsible for assisting with subject recruitment, scheduling, data collection and data management.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree / No experience OR Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience
    • Extremely well organized and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of documentation and integrity of data
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to work independently, but be able to ask questions and take feedback as needed
    • Ability to stand/walk during human subject data collection and help prevent subjects, who have bad balance, from falling (i.e., be able to help support a person's weight, if needed)

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience using a database system or similar application, EPIC, eIRB, clinical research procedures, maintain essential documents binder
    • Experience working with people in a clinic or research setting, and assisting people with mobility issues
    • CPR/1st Aid Certified
