  • Gait control and rehab postdoc at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Medicine

The Roemmich Lab at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to help us understand gait control and improve rehabilitation for persons with neurologic damage or disease (e.g., stroke, Parkinson's disease). We study pathological gait and devise new rehabilitation strategies using a combination of behavioral experiments and computational approaches.

We seek a candidate with a PhD in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, kinesiology, physical therapy, or related fields; interested candidates with an enthusiasm for learning and thinking critically and creatively regardless of field are encouraged to apply. Strong programming and quantitative skills are preferred.

The position is available immediately, requires a two-year commitment, and is renewable contingent on performance and funding. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Applicants should send a CV and statement of research interests to Ryan Roemmich (rroemmi1@jhmi.edu). Please also feel free to contact Ryan with any questions regarding the position.
