The Cognitive Ergonomics and Transportation Labs at the University of Windsor are looking for 2 highly-motivated candidates for MS in Engineering or Kinesiology in Automotive Human Factors (start date: Fall 2019 or Winter 2020). The project is in collaboration with Major Automotive Companies and funded by a federal grant. Project goals are understanding and measuring the effect of using automated vehicle technology on driver workload.
Main duties and responsibilities
The student will work under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team of experts in Human Factors, Civil Engineering, and Machine Learning. Their duties will include (but are not limited to):
-Data collection using physiological measures and driving simulator
-Data analysis using software such as R and Matlab
-Dissemination of research findings at conferences and via publications
Qualification requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (for a MS in Engineering), Human Factors and Ergonomics (for MS inKinesiology), or related fields with a minimum 80% GPA in the last 2 years
-Past experience in conducting experimental and Human Factors work (preferred but not required)
-Excellent English skills (written and oral)
