A PhD position is available in the fields of rehabilitation robotics and the neuromechanics of human movement at the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering (MMMB), University of Wollongong, Australia. It is expected that the thesis will involve interdisciplinary themes related to human-machine interaction, mathematical modelling and simulation, robotics and soft actuators, and human movement science.
Candidates are required to have a strong background in mechanics and mechanical design as well as knowledge of human physiology related to movement. Additional experience in experimental methods (e.g. motion capture technology, EMG etc) and demonstrable effectiveness in disseminating scientific results (e.g. publications/talks in conferences) will be considered favourably.
