PhD positions in Kinesiology are available for Fall 2020 in the Motor learning and Rehabilitation Engineering Lab (MOTRE) directed by Dr. Rajiv Ranganathan. We are interested in issues of motor learning and coordination, and the use of technology to assist motor learning. Please take a look at the lab website for more information https://sites.google.com/site/motrelab/

Candidates with a background in human movement or robotics (Kinesiology, Biomedical engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Neurorehabilitation or a related field) are encouraged to apply. Prior research experience with human subjects, biomechanical data analysis, and scientific writing are highly desirable.

Resources in the lab include an 8-camera motion analysis system (Motion Analysis Corporation), a force plate (AMTI), a wireless EMG system (Delsys), and a bimanual KINARM end point robot (BKIN Technologies, Kingston, ON).

The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State is one of the top ranked departments in the country. For more information about applying to the graduate program, please visit http://education.msu.edu/kin/graduat...dadmission.asp
