Pepperdine University located in Malibu, CA seeks an adjunct faculty member with at least a Master's degree or higher (ABD or Ph.D., preferred) in Kinesiology, Biomechanics or an equivalent discipline to teach a 4-credit hour Human Biomechanics course in the spring semester of 2020 (Jan 13 - Apr 30, 2020). The teaching responsibilities are 3 hours of lecture, 2 three-hour laboratories, and office hours weekly. The class has yet to be scheduled and we have flexibility, within the constraints of our scheduling guidelines, to schedule both the lecture and laboratory periods on days/times that accommodate the availability of the selected instructor. The faculty member hired will have full access to the Biomechanics Laboratory which includes a 10-camera Motion Analysis Corp mocap and analysis system, a new 8-channel Noraxon telemetered EMG system, and 2 Kistler force plates.
