Description
The Laboratory of Automation, Mechanics and Industrial and Human Computing (LAMIH, UMR-CNRS 8201) of the Polytechnic University Hauts-de-France (UPHF) with the company DECATHLON are seeking a PhD student to conduct biomechanical research for the evaluation of the locomotion of young sportsmen in different footwear conditions in various sports activities (athletics, sports-co, ...) via a longitudinal study.
The thesis will be carried out at DECATHLON Campus (Villeneuve d'Ascq) and LAMIH (Valenciennes). The methodology will permit a longitudinal follow-up of young sportsmen on parameters resulting from a movement analysis (kinematics, kinetics, EMG, ultrasound) and from the functional evaluation of the movement.
The PhD will involve the following aspects:
Student profile:
Position will be placed at: DECATHLON Campus, 4 Boulevard de Mons, 59650 Villeneuve-d'Ascq
Supervisory Team: Dr Eleni GRIMPAMPI (DECATHLON), Dr Maxime ROUX (DECATHLON), Pr Emilie SIMONEAU (LAMIH –UMR-CNRS 8201), Dr Sébastien LETENEUR (LAMIH –UMR-CNRS) and Dr Christophe GILLET (LAMIH –UMR-CNRS).
Interested applicants should contact eleni.grimpampi@decathlon.com and emilie.simoneau@uphf.fr with their CV and cover letter.
Closing date: 20 January 2020.
