Our international Nordic consortium (Finland, Sweden, Denmark) received recently a research grant of about 1 million euros from ERA PerMed aiming to provide a multi-scale biomechanics and modelling workflow coupled with machine/deep learning algorithms that can be used for prediction of progression of osteoarthritis and optimization of its treatment. We are now recruiting two PhD students for that project: (1) Finite Element Modeling of the Knee Joint, and (2) Machine Learning and Osteoarthritis Prediction. These two students will work closely together combining Finite Element Modeling and Machine Learning.
