We are currently recruiting and have funding available for Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) and Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA). The KINE faculty research interests are conducted at the Sports Medicine Assessment, Research, and Testing (SMART Laboratory) in the areas of:
- Biomechanics
- Tactical Athlete Performance
- Research and Implementation of Injury Prevention Programs
- Wearable Sensors
For the GTAs, courses to be taught would be at the undergraduate Kinesiology Program.

Funding:
A variety of graduate research assistantships or graduate teaching assistantships are available. The funding opportunity includes a stipend, and tuition remission (partial or total). Contact the program for a complete list of funding opportunities.
Requirements
- Admission to the George Mason University Ph.D. in Education program, KINE concentration
- Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
- Preferred if holds current fitness certification such as ACSM, ACE, NAMS, NCSA, AFFA, NASM, or NFPT
