Position description
In collaboration with the Neuromuscular Control Lab (REKLAB: http://www.bme.mcgill.ca/reklab/) in the department of biomedical engineering at McGill University, the selected candidates will focus on the study and identification of interactions between joint stiffness properties and vision in human postural control by incorporating Virtual Reality (VR) technology. This study will enhance our knowledge of the complicated mechanisms underlying the control of stance and give us valuable tools in order to diagnose movement disorders and provide affected individuals with appropriate rehabilitation strategies and assistive interventions. We are looking for a highly motivated, outstanding candidate with a MSc degree in biomedical, mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably with relevant background in control systems, signal processing and system identification.
