A PhD position is available at the Department of Motion and Exercise Science (Prof. Tobias Siebert) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. The PhD position for modeling and simulation is associated with the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) funded research project “Validation of recent theories of skeletal muscle contraction: experiments and modeling“. The 3-year-position (TV-L E13; 100%) is vacant.
Required Qualifications:
- experience with modeling and performing numerical simulations
- high interest in physiological functional mechanisms and biomechanics
- willingness to further scientific qualification (doctorate)
- higher education (engineering studies in computer science / mechanical engineering or comparable, mathematics / physics / biophysics / biology or similar)
- communication and team skills, commitment and good knowledge of English and German
