    2-year Brinson postdoctoral Fellowship in Stroke Rehabilitation Research: Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, Chicago Illinois, USA

    The Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, a Northwestern University affiliated Rehabilitation Research Hospital in Chicago is pleased to offer a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in stroke-related research. The position, which is sponsored by the Brinson Foundation, is linked to the research programs of the Ability Labs, which are devoted broadly to the application of engineering and neuroscience techniques to the study of neurological injuries or disorders.

    Applicants may undertake their research in any of the laboratories working on topics related to human stroke. Studies may involve advanced signal processing, modeling and simulation, biomechanics and motion analyses, sensor recordings, or novel diagnostics. Alternatively, applicants may focus on novel therapeutic interventions including robotics, drug trials or other treatments. The position may be initiated any time after January 1, 2020.

    Applicants must have completed an earned doctorate in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, neuroscience, kinesiology or a relevant clinical discipline. Applicants should also be eligible to work in the United States
