Post-Doctoral Position: Brain Control of Walking

A post-doctoral position is available in the Locomotor Neuroscience Lab, directed by Dr. David J. Clark at the University of Florida (College of Medicine) and Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Brain Rehabilitation Research Center). This multi-year position is supported by a federally funded research grant that seeks to understand brain control of walking in older adults. This position is highly collaborative and will involve extensive interaction with human research participants and with multi-disciplinary faculty, post-docs, and students in the areas of neuroscience, engineering, rehabilitation, geriatrics, biomechanics, and more. Post-docs will have the opportunity to work with neuroimaging and/or neuromodulation technologies such as MRI, EEG, fNIRS, transcranial DCS, and spinal DCS. EEG researchers will be co-mentored by Dr. Daniel Ferris (UF College of Engineering). MRI researchers will be co-mentored by Dr. Rachael Seidler (UF College of Health and Human Performance).

The University of Florida and Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center are closely affiliated, and located just across the street from each other in Gainesville, Florida. Gainesville is located in North Central Florida, in close proximity to other popular cities including Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
