Position Description: Dr. David Bazett-Jones is seeking a highly motivated student interested in pursuing a PhD with an emphasis in the neuromuscular and biomechanical factors related to lower extremity joint injury and pain. Applicants should have an interest in human movement, muscle function, and/ or clinical outcomes in this patient population.

Degree Program: Exercise Science
Status: Full time (4 years)
Stipend: $15,000 per year (tuition waiver included)
Assistantship:

  • Teaching (human anatomy and physiology, biomechanics)



Conduct High-Quality Research in the areas of:


  • Patellofemoral pain in youth & adults
  • Youth running biomechanics
  • Hip & trunk muscle function testing
  • Lower extremity & trunk biomechanics




Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a kinesiology-related discipline
  • Interest in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
  • Good computer, and oral/ written communication skills
  • Previous research and/or teaching experience (preferred)
