    The Neuromechanics Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) has a fully funded PhD position to start in Fall or Summer of 2020. The candidate will be directly advised by Dr. Nicholas Murray and will be pursuing their doctoral studies in the Integrative Neuroscience Program at the UNR. The Neuromechanics Laboratory serves over 5,000 athletes at UNR and the surrounding Washoe County School District with our clinically driven research model. The projects that are actively being researched in the laboratory are:
    • Repetitive Head Impacts
    • Postural Stability
    • Visual System Impairments

    The candidate is expected to work across all the major research lines, perform clinical care with direct patient interaction, and be comfortable or willing to learn all major biomechanical equipment (motion capture, EMG, force platforms, and eye tracking). Individuals with MATLAB experience and/or a background in Eye Tracking are preferred. Clinical individuals such as certified Athletic Trainers are highly encouraged to apply. International students may apply but must be independently supported to work in the USA.
