    MSc and PhD Positions in Biomechanics and Wearable Technology - McMaster University

    Dr. Dylan Kobsar in the Department of Kinesiology, Faculty of Science at McMaster University is seeking highly motivated students interested in pursuing an MSc or PhD in the area of biomechanics and human movement. Research topics will focus on the use of wearable sensors to track human movement, with applications to data science and osteoarthritis. Opportunities for industry and clinical collaborations are expected during these degrees.

    Applicants should have:
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas: biomechanics; human movement; wearable technology; data science
    • Experience in programming (e.g., MATLAB/Python/R)
    • A bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: engineering (biomedical, electrical, mechanical), kinesiology, exercise science
    • GPA of A- or better
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as experience disseminating scientific results
    • For students with English as a second language, the Test of English as a Foreign Language must be completed
