PhD studentship in Biomedical Engineering is available at the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering of University of Wollongong, Australia. University of Wollongong (UoW), Australia is consistently ranked top 2% in the world. Meanwhile, the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering is one of the top Engineering Schools in Australia.
Applicants should have a master degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical/ Mechatronic engineering or equivalent with substantial research components. Prior successful experience in research publications is highly preferred. Scholarship (stipend and tuition-fee award) will be awarded to selected students. Successful applicants will work with clinicians and engineers developing:
- Smart prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices or
- Technologies to improve movement capabilities of older adults
It is expected that computational modeling, gait analysis, design optimization methods, together with some bioinstrumentation is needed in the PhD project.
