We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Lab Manager at the Spaulding National Running Center (SNRC), Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Harvard Medical School. The Spaulding National Running Center is a clinical and research enterprise aimed at helping individuals to remain active and injury free throughout their lifetime. Our research is aimed at understanding the relationships between lower extremity structure, mechanics and musculoskeletal injury. We are also interested in developing strategies and interventions that help to mitigate injury risk. While the focus of our research is on running, our interests extend to injuries related to walking as well. Our research encompasses imaging and modeling, as well as experimental studies. Along with overseeing the lab organization and maintenance, the lab manager will also be directly involved in ongoing research studies, including a newly funded Dept of Defense project studying the relationship between mechanics and injuries in basic combat training recruits.

    • Identify new data collection and reduction techniques, and new areas of application for biomechanical analyses; assist with the development of associated new software and protocols for the laboratory.
