A PhD position is available for Fall 2021 in the Motor learning and Rehabilitation Engineering Lab (MOTRE) directed by Dr. Rajiv Ranganathan. Candidates with a background in human movement or robotics (Kinesiology, Biomedical engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Neurorehabilitation or a related field) are encouraged to apply. Prior research experience with human subjects, biomechanical analysis, and MATLAB programming are highly desirable.
Resources in the lab include an 8-camera motion analysis system (Motion Analysis Corporation, Santa Rosa, CA), a force plate (AMTI, Watertown, MA), wireless EMG (Delsys, Natick, MA), and a bimanual KINARM end point robot (BKIN Technologies, Kingston, ON).
