  • Fully-funded PhD scholarship in stair falls (Liverpool, UK)

We are pleased to advertise a fully-funded PhD studentship investigating the socio-economic and biomechanical causes of stair falls that have occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. This inter-disciplinary project will be based within the Research to Improve Stair Climbing Safety (RISCS) group and as a collaboration between Liverpool John Moores University and University of Liverpool. You will take advantage of the unique experimental staircase custom built for biomechanical and sensory-motor investigation of stair falls, and work with our external partners within the community.

Further details of the project and application process can be found here: https://www.findaphd.com/phds/projec...demic/?p124412. Interested candidates should contact Prof Costis Maganaris (c.maganaris@ljmu.ac.uk) or Dr Thomas O'Brien (t.d.obrien@ljmu.ac.uk).

The scholarship will cover tuition fees and experimental costs, and provide a stipend of £15285 per annum.
