  • Augmented Reality Simulation of Surgical Procedures of the Pelvis System

    The Centrale Lille Institut and the laboratory UMR CNRS 9013 Laboratoire de Mécanique, Multiphysique, Multiéchelle (LaMcube) is seeking a researcher to undertake a 1-year research postdoctoral project starting from January 2021. This project aims to develop and evaluate a medical simulation system of the surgical procedures for human pelvic system. Augmented Reality technology (i.e. Microsoft Hololens) will be used to manage the interaction between the end-users and the virtual patient-specific model. Objective and quantitative indicators of the soft tissue mechanics will be tracked in real time to guide the surgical procedures.

    Profile: PhD in the following field: Biomechanics/Mechanics, Bioengineering, Biomedical engineering

    The candidate needs have the following experiences:

    - Soft tissue deformation in real-time, continuum biomechanics of the soft tissues
    - Medical simulation system development
    - Programming experiences in C++/C#

    Documents required to apply (applications close on the 15 December 2020): Send to tien-tuan.dao@centralelille.fr, the following documents (in a single pdf file):
    - Curriculum vitae
    - Motivation letter
    - 1-2 Papers related to your previous works
    - Recommendation letter(s)
