    Open Call, Department of Bioengineering, Imperial College London

    Due to rapid growth and the strategic importance of the discipline of bioengineering at Imperial, the major new translational White City Campus and the flagship Sir Michael Uren Hub, the Department of Bioengineering wishes to appoint up to four outstanding academics at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader or Professorial level. We invite applications from candidates across all areas of bioengineering, highlighting some specific areas earmarked for growth:
    • Biomechanics/Mechanobiology
    • AI for health
    • Medical imaging
    • Soft Robotics

The Department of Bioengineering is committed to this mission through advancing the frontiers of our knowledge, translating that knowledge for societal benefit, and educating leaders in the discipline’s three main areas:
    • Biomedical Engineering (developing devices, techniques and interventions for human health)
    • Biological Engineering (solving problems related to the life sciences and their applications for health)
    • Biomimetics (using the structures and functions of living organisms as models for the design and engineering of materials and machines).

    The posts will be based either at the South Kensington Campus or at the White City Campus, dependent on research area and facility requirements, on a full time, open ended basis.
