The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position with an anticipated start date of July 2021. This position is in the Department of Biomechanics, in the Biomechanics Research Building (BRB), with 53,000 square feet of shared laboratory space, office, and collaboration space dedicated to translational biomedical research.
The main duties of this position is to provide research and administrative support to the Biomechanics Rehabilitation and Manufacturing Initiative under the leadership of Dr. Brian Knarr and Dr. Jorge Zuniga. These activities include assisting the co-directors enforcing administrative and regulatory policies, dissemination of research results, obtaining future funding, and developing administrative reports. There will be a great emphasis in submission to large federal grants, such as NIH Program Project Grants, NIH Biomedical Technology Research Grants, and NIH R01 submissions. In addition, the Research Associate will perform experiments, set up laboratory equipment, data collection, statistical analyses, and implement research protocols designed by the co-directors.
